It looks a little stiff to me. I don’t know if it’s the fabric or what, but if you look at it in the movie, the coat flows really well, almost like it’s made from a lightweight fabric. But this looks good as well.
It’s a good recreation, I’d say. I’m not super impressed, but it’s definitely good.
I’m so sorry, but I don’t think the shape is quite right. The original has a very curvy shape to it, while yours looks more like a straight coat. If you think about it, it’s a women’s coat, so it should be a little more fitted at the waist and then flare out after that.
Looking at the pictures closely, the only thing I’m really noticing is the craftsmanship, from the buttons to the sleeve buckles. Lovely work!
The brown is definitely the part I was most curious about, and I think you got pretty close.
Honestly, I think the simplicity is what makes this difficult. There aren’t many extra details to distract from the accuracy.

Just curious, is it warm enough for winter, or does it only work for the transition seasons?
That’s a valid question, LOL.
We used cotton fabric that was used in the movie. It’s just new, which is why it looks a little stiff. If someone wears it once or twice, or even washes it, the stiffness should start to break down.
That is a valid question! This coat is made with cotton fabric and has a viscose lining inside, so it’s not super warm for winter. But it would work great for transition seasons like early fall or spring, when it’s cool but not freezing.
