On How Do You Find Accurate Reference Photos for Recreating a Movie or TV Costume?
Sometimes I think you just have to work with what you can find. Not every show has loads of behind the scenes pictures available. I'd use screenshots from different episodes, check any official…

As a mockup, this is amazing! You’ve got the shape and pattern right. The only thing I’d ask you to change is the shoulders. They should be a bit more structured. Other than that, nice work! 😊

On Sophie Silva’s 31 Days of Halloween Costume Series
I like it, but I wish it had been more of a ballgown style. The character has this innocence to her, and I feel like this design loses a bit of that. ❤️

You’re not alone! I haven’t watched The Vampire Diaries either. People keep pressuring me to watch it, but I think it has 7 seasons, and I just don’t have the time to watch all of that. 😂 The only…

I like this more than the typical Ripley costumes that just use a generic jumpsuit and call it done.

On What makes a movie replica truly screen-accurate?
For me, it’s the materials. You can copy the design perfectly, but if the fabric feels completely different from the original, it still doesn’t feel screen-accurate.

I actually loved seeing Paul Wesley out of the usual Starfleet uniform. The vintage look suited the episode perfectly.

On Leather Jacket vs. Suede Jacket — Which Do You Prefer?
Leather all the way for me. I live somewhere it rains half the year and my suede jacket got ruined the first time I got caught in a downpour. Leather just shrugs it off and looks better the more beat…

If it was my absolute favorite movie of all time, I’d take the original without thinking twice. For anything else, I’d probably go with the replica.

How are you going to recreate the design on the back? We can see the details on the front, but I can’t really see the logo on the back.

On Which Movie Jacket Would You Most Like to Own?
For me it would be Maverick’s jacket from Top Gun. The patches are what really make it for me. I’d want one that actually looked worn rather than brand new.
